Slappin’ Collard Greens
The key to amazing collard greens is to keep it simple. These collards come out so good you can feel it in your toes.
What you’ll need:
4 Bunches of Rinsed Fresh Collard Greens
2 lb of Bacon
Apple Cider Vinegar
- Chop up the bacon into 1/2″ pieces and cook. Do not drain.
- Put about 1/2′ of apple cider vinegar in the bottom of your steamer.
- Chop up the collard greens.
- Steam the collards on medium heat (stirring occasionally) until they turn dark green.
- Put finished collards in a large bowl and add the bacon.
- Mix and toss.
- Drizzle the leftover bacon grease over the collards and continue to mix and toss.
Taste before serving. Try to not slap yo mama!
